Pink and Perky...

That probably got your attention, huh!?!? heehee! Sorry, sometimes I just can't help myself. This is another card that we made in my January SAS class. This set, Puns from the Past, is one of those sets that I just "HAD to have" ...and then it sat, unused, in my stamp room for months and months. Now that I've been using it, however, I can't seem to put it down! LOVE IT!!

When mounting this stamp set, I cut the sentiments apart from the images. I mounted them on the side of the block, so I could use them separately. That way I have many more stamping options. A girl likes to have a lot of options, you know! haha!

Here's a view of the inside... the sentiment is punched with the small oval and then layered on a large oval of Chocolate Chip.
I love having the sentiment adhered to the inside, but showing through the outside....kwim? Well, thanx for stopping by!

For Urban Garden

I'm so happy that Urban Garden DSP made it into the new catty!!! I LOVE this paper!! It makes quick, elegant cards so easy!! This is one that we made at my January SAS class last week. We had a blast!! Two of my friends stayed until midnight and we all had a few too many Rootbeer Floatinis. Delish!!

Hope you are all staying warm in this extreme cold! Right now it's 26 degrees in Southeastern PA!! Can I get a collective "bbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!"?

Check in tomorrow for some more goodies from my SAS. Thanx for visiting!!

Make a Wish!

Hey there! Well, the kids had a two-hour delay this morning due to the snow we got yesterday. I enjoy these delays because we can sleep in a little bit, but they still go to school and I can get my work done.

This card turned out so much better than it was in my head! I LOVE when that happens!! {**BIG SMILE**} I made this for one of my co-workers that loves purple. Think this covers her purple obsession?
When I was making this card, I remembered the Decorative Trimmer I ordered from Creative Memories a couple of years ago. I just had to have it ....and this is the first time I used it. Shame, shame....I know!! Now seriously, don't tell me that you haven't done the same thing ....ordered a "HAVE TO HAVE IT" stamp set, paper, embellishment, etc and then let it sit for a long time before breaking it in!?!?! All I know is that I've used it, I will use it very often in the future. It's a great tool!! And, I think it adds so much pizazz to the card.

Here's a close-up of the glitter I used on the cupcake and the Bellas dress. I love using glitter to spice things up ...on cards, of course! heehee!!

I'll be back with the card recipe later this afternoon. Gotta run! Stay warm and thanx for visiting!!

Hello! We are getting lots and lots of snow here in Southeastern PA today! Since I work from home, I say "BRING on the white stuff!!". However, it's been hard to stay focused on work with the kids home from school. So, I thought I'd take some time to post a sympathy card I made for a co-worker.

I have been asked to handle all of the card "needs" for our department at work. We have about 25 employees in our group. Usually I get to make fun birthday or congrats type cards. This time we needed a sympathy card when the grandmother of a co-worker passed away. I like to keep sympathy cards pretty simple. Just letting your friend know that you are thinking of them during their difficult time is what's important, in my opinion.

Hope everyone is snuggled up and staying warm!! One of my favorite snowman quotes is, "Snowmen fall from Heaven unassembled!" Enjoy!!

Thanx for visiting!

I'm sure you are all probably sick of Christmas cards, but I had to post this one. My MIL commissioned me to make some Christmas cards for her to give to her co-workers. She works at the Strasburg Railroad, which explains the train as the focal point for a Christmas card.

I love all of the Heidi swapp ghost shapes, but I think that the snowflakes are one of my favorites!! It's hard to see in this pic, but I added Star Dust Stickles to the snowflake.

This is a great set for masculine cards, too! It's one I'll be turning to throughout the year, I'm sure.

Thanx so much for visiting!!

Welcome to The Ridge

Two days in a row!! Fabulous!!

Here's the card that I made to welcome our new next-door neighbors to our development, Quarry Ridge ...which we shortened to "The Ridge"....hence the name of this post. ;-) Again, more info than you needed!!

This card uses the Neighborhood jumbo wheel from Stampin' Up! I love this wheel and use it often. I like coloring just one of the houses in, like I did here. Sort of like the spotlight technique, but not quite.

I used the Dotted Lines jumbo wheel on the background. Gives it a little bit of added interest. I love the script used in the Warm Words set. It's one of those sets that I will keep forever!!

Have a great weekend and try to stay warm. Here in Southeastern PA it's Fah-Reez-Ing!!! Come on Spring!

Thanx for visiting!

Bad, bad, blogger....

Yes, I know I have been horrible about posting these past couple of months. There probably isn't anyone even visiting my sad, neglected blog anymore!! Actually, one of my oldest & dearest friends mentioned that she missed seeing new posts on my blog. Thanx Liz, for giving me the kick in the behind that I needed!!!!

Here's a welcome gift that I made for our new next-door neighbors, the Kreiders. Linda Kreider is my friend (and neighbor) Jodi's Mom. Did you need to know all that? Probably not, but I seem to type like I talk ...blah, blah, blah! haha!!

Anyway, I've truly enjoyed getting to know Linda. She has come to a couple of my stamp classes and is a blast!! I baked some chocolate chip cookies, dressed them up and walked them over the day they moved in ....all nice and warm! Deee-lish!!

Come by tomorrow and I'll show you the card I made to go along with the cookies. One of my goals (notice that I didn't say "resolutions") for 2009 is to be a better blogger! Thanx for visiting!!
